Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Marin County

Arin Bass is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #83366) with extensive experience supporting adults and adolescents as they heal from mental health challenges, including eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her expertise also spans relationship issues, family conflict, professional or academic dilemmas, and the stress of life transitions. Arin has worked across various clinical settings, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, residential treatment, and private practice.

Committed to providing effective and compassionate care rooted in evidence-based interventions, Arin works with clients to identify the root causes of their struggles and develop personalized care plans. She maintains a safe, nurturing space that allows clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. Her holistic approach utilizes a wide array of therapies that tend to the mind, body, and soul for deep, lasting well-being.

Arin earned her B.A. as a double major in Psychology and Neuroscience and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from The American School of Professional Psychology. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic, and Integrative therapies.

As a therapist, mother, and wellness seeker, Arin knows from both science and personal experience that true healing must encompass the whole person. In the past, she often referred clients to outside specialists to achieve this “full gamut” of care. This sparked a longtime vision: to offer women and adolescents a comprehensive suite of holistic healing services in one trusted, supportive, and joyful place. She has manifested this vision by opening HEAL Marin—a mental health haven in the heart of Marin County where women can access highly qualified practitioners providing the integrated therapies essential for enduring health.

Arin lives in beautiful Marin with her two daughters and her dog, Buddy.
